Meet Karma Bucknor

Entrepreneur. Mother. Author. Learning to prioritize herself.

I am a mother of five incredible children, ages 23, 22, 17, 15, and 12, and a proud grandmother to a beautiful two-year-old granddaughter. No matter how full my schedule becomes, I make sure she spends two nights a week with me because being present for my family will always be one of my greatest priorities.

Since 2006, I have managed and operated two private schools. This year, I am also teaching seventh and eighth grade while attending college full-time to earn my bachelor’s degree in business management.

After getting married in 2009 and divorced in 2023, I entered a new season as a single mother—still leading my family, managing the schools, building businesses, and learning more about who I am becoming.

My entrepreneurial journey continues to grow. Along with running the schools, I am building Schedule Yourself In, launching Kluxxe, and still creating balloon designs when requested.

My mind is always working, and I genuinely love bringing new ideas to life. But I have also learned that I cannot continue building while leaving myself behind.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2018, so caring for my body and mind is not optional. Before returning to school, I exercised five to seven times a week. Now, fitting in three to five workouts is difficult—but I still make the time.

I attend therapy, keep my doctor appointments, pray daily, rest when my body needs it, and maintain the routines that help me feel like myself: my facials, nails, pedicures, lashes, hair appointments, and occasional massages.

I am not a woman who has discovered perfect balance. I am a woman who carries a great deal and has learned to schedule herself in anyway. My faith keeps me grounded, my family keeps me motivated, and my journey reminds me that ambition and self-care can exist together.

I created Schedule Yourself In to encourage other women to build their visions without disappearing behind them—because the woman doing it all deserves care, too.

Why Schedule Yourself Exist

Schedule Yourself In was created from a truth I know personally: successful women are often the ones everyone depends on, yet we are usually the last people we make time for. We care for our families, lead our businesses, pursue our goals, and handle countless responsibilities—sometimes without realizing how much of ourselves we are giving away.

This brand exists to remind you that caring for yourself is not selfish, and you do not have to earn the right to rest. Through honest encouragement, practical resources, and intentional self-care products, Schedule Yourself In helps women protect their peace, care for their minds, bodies, and spirits, and make room for themselves without guilt.

You deserve to pursue your purpose, build your vision, and become everything God has called you to be—but you should not have to disappear in the process. Schedule Yourself In is your reminder that the woman behind the vision deserves care, too.

What Guides Us

  • Self-care is necessary, not selfish.
  • Rest does not have to be earned.
  • Boundaries protect what matters.
  • Faith, wellness, and ambition can coexist.
  • The woman behind the vision deserves care, too.

More Than A Book

Schedule Yourself In began as a book, but the vision is much bigger. It is becoming a complete lifestyle brand created to help women care for themselves while continuing to build the lives, families, and businesses they love.

Through empowering books, guided journals, thoughtfully curated self-care bundles, and practical resources, Schedule Yourself In will give women simple ways to protect their peace, support their well-being, and make themselves a priority. In the future, the Schedule Yourself In app will bring these tools together, helping women intentionally place rest, reflection, wellness, and personal care on their schedules.

This is more than something you read—it is a reminder, a practice, and a lifestyle. You deserve to be included in the life you are working so hard to create.

“I am not speaking to you as a woman who has mastered perfect balance. I am speaking as a woman who understands what it means to carry a great deal—and who is learning every day that I deserve a place on my own schedule, too.”
